Stuck in a fight with few chips left, Brooke and Scarlet use their second last chip to remove themselves from the fight, quickly taking stock of their injuries.

Thankful that PETs have come quite a way since the Advanced, a damaged crest doesn't immediately desync the fusion, but it does cause instability, and coupled with Scarlet's data loss and Brooke's injuries, they're amazed it hasn't fallen apart yet. It doesn't take long before their foe is back on them, and they have to do something.

Brooke engages ScarletBlaster, and using the error symbol on her visor as a reticle, lines up and fires a charge shot! The force of the blast disintgrates Scarlet's arm and injures Brooke further! "FUCK! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!" She screams, quickly downloading her last battlechip, FolderBack. In an instant, their chip folder is refilled and Brooke uses 2 Recovery300s to revert some of the damage to Scarlet, though it does not heal Brooke or fix her glasses, giving Scarlet control of the right eye for the remainder of the fusion.

The navi crest is also still damaged and unstable, so they have to finish the fight soon, and thankfully, their foe is low on HP. They delete the rouge net navi with a program advance, and with that, the dimensional area starts to disappear.

Brooke issues one last command before the fusion desyncs, and thats for her navi to call her an ambulance. It was called just before the PET hit the pavement and split into pieces.
