Uh...gotta admit I've never heard that fandom take on Zira. Ever. Funny, though. The only think people ever say about Zira is how she came out of nowhere despite somehow being loyal to Scar when no lionesses were shown to be in the first movie. And how her and Vitani were the best things to come out of Simba's Pride because evil female characters are hot. *shrug*
I feel like the movie itself would be more interesting if it was more animal planet accurate, such examples are:
Scar would've been the most desired lion due to lioness prefer much darker hair lions
all Lioness are in charge and having a male in the pack is a privilege they allowed
Timon would've had a huge family tree of homicide being a meerkat themselves
Mufasa only saying "Simbaaaa" like about 90% of the time of the whole movie
Simba would've been the weakest lion since his diet was only bugs and not wild meat

Personally I always found Scar an idiot. His ego made him confess his crime, he didn't maintain his Kingdom, and he had too much trust in his henchmen.

The only kill I hear ppl say Zira has is Kopa, who isn't real. Timon's dad, Bunga's parents, jackal children. All those I default to Shenzi having ate up.

The success of the Sonic movies is practically telling Disney to stop thinking about the bottom line and put more actual thought into their animated films
I literally just checked on TV tropes and it did turn out that they're now officially calling anything in 2018 Starting from Ralph breaks the internet to today as being "Post Revival" after the removal of Lasseter and the revival Era of 2008 (Bolt) to 2016 (Moana 1)
Disney really is going through a low point again in this Post Revival Era, but I'm hoping that the other animated movies in this era other than Encanto (which is like the Lilo & Stitch of the 2000s being the main movie there was a hit at the box office while everything else around that time was mediocre) such as Strange World and Raya and the Last Dragon become CIult Classics like Atlantis and Treasure Planet did from the Experimental Age of the 2000s.
Once they get people in charge who put in actual thought, Disney will rise up again just like it has throughout the decades
