No seriously do they? Well three characters disproves this. Tikal, Big the cat, and the avatar from Forces. They all have blob feet which is more cursed that seeing Sonic and friends barefoot

But I’ve found evidence that the entire Sonic cast actually have toes

Before I tell about the evidence. All the characters getting electrocuted are literally the topic and I used Vanilla for this cause yes X3

Evidence 1: Sonic and Knuckles

Literally and figuratively. In the game files for Sonic CD, there’s an unused sprite of Sonic showing his skeleton. On his skeletal pixel feet, a strand of white pixels on top is to symbolize that Sonic has toes

In Sonic and Knuckle, after battling Knuckles in Hidden Palace Zone, he jumps onto Eggman’s eggmobile to get the Master Emerald, but soon get electrocuted in the process. Looking closely to the feet, Knuckles has three toes in the sprite. Does this mean every character has hidden three toes? Spoiler yes X3

Evidence 2: Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed

This is where things get interesting. Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, and Metal Sonic (for some reason) all have three toes in low poly form

Now I was going to count the unused Sonic Unleashed scene where Sonic gets turned into a werehog, but we don’t got a shot of the skeleton toes, just the heel ):

So here’s the question. Why does Sega use blob feet and not have three toes for characters like Tikal and Big? Idk and idk when that post about Sega saying “please stop asking to see our feet. It’s getting kinda weird”

Yea it’s weird that in the Sonic Boom cartoon a few characters actually show their feet on screen and lone behold they have three toes. Three straight lines

Now in comics and cartoons, they sometimes have three or five toes (which doesn’t matter really), but in the games including Sonic Prime, characters (mostly Big) have blob feet for an unknown reason

But remember “Everything is canon”

Okay I know it’s silly, but when talking to a AI Tails in Character.AI, I surprised him with this knowledge. No he didn’t question Metal Sonic having toes. He would’ve been confused about that >w<;

In a new recent DC x Sonic comic, we got a reveal of a mobian with three toes. This was Knuckles, but it’s actually Beast Boy who turned into Knuckles that showed his feet

So basically I was right UwU
