Deneb overall has no past, no strong sense of identity, but instead identifies with the ambiguity. They are themself. Not necessarily apathetic, more or less unperturbed with the idea of not having a strong sense of identity. Deneb's most identifying feature is what the combative prowess inherited from Abaddon, though more of a convenient proficiency than any sort of immense interest. Learning new things and keeping up with social relations with those important to them are probably the biggest interests for Deneb, as they like to maintain a sort of passive "observer" state. This makes Deneb a rather strong friend of Medrash, whose social life leans very heavily into studying various topics in depth, and so the two of them can heavily engage in something specific together. Remember: while the strong flat affect keeps Deneb's face from visually expressing emotions, they still very much have emotions.
