Ichigo's an exodroid who engages in underground fighting rings and mercenary work. A particularly rough match leaves him limping through the streets, looking for a mechanic. He could call Orihime, but Ishida would kill him if he got her involved, so he hobbles over to the first back alley repair shop he sees. Which happens to be Shinji's. The blonde's reluctant to let him in, since it's way past closing and this guy looks like bad news, but he eventually agrees to help. He doesn't make him pay because he doesn't want to deal with any gangs so Ichigo decides to give him a hand by tracking down previous customers who didn't pay, helping the human around the shop, and servicing him.
