This shows how I do my fursuit designs. First I create a scale figure of the person whose suit it will be, then I sculpt the computer design around it.
This means the wearer can easily be visualised within the suit. The purple you can see here is the padding needed to get the shape.
I can then take detailed measurements from this model, and use them for construction of the suit itself.
