Tails is terrified of what his hero now thinks of him now that the secret of what was under his pants all of this time is out; but thankfully Sonic has his own secret to share to show his little buddy that he's not alone.
So a sub-canon inside of my previous sub-canon of the faux comic series I discussed in a previous submission seen here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47941444/ and here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50378758/ . For a brief re-explanation it was based on a dream I had a long time back where a Sonic comic book was published in a country where censorship laws required cartoon characters to wear a form of pants in any depiction thus requiring Sonic to wear a sort of baggy shorts, and Tails to wear something similar but with a draw-string just to differentiate the two. Now that Sonic would be wearing something UNDERNEITH those shorts though... that's of questionable canon at the moment...

That's wonderful, and there's so much coming across in this scene.
Tails' surprised look along with the sense of how much better he would be feeling after seeing it's not just him.
Sonic's confidence even though he might still be a bit shy about revealing his own padding (or at least that's what I'm getting from the sweat drop and the bit of blushing there).
This is really great, and I love the explanation about where the idea came from.
