Carnoc and Vical try to settle into their cave, but Simon's presence, and demands that they behave, don't make things easy on them. And with two strong personalities like Carnoc's and Simon's, a clash can't be far off...

Somewhat eventful chapter; something tells me that this is just the beginning between Carnoc and Simon. Possibly my knowledge of the rest of the story. Also it's 5:30am and the roof of my apartment is leaking and I am not happy. That is all.
Comments and critique greatly appreciated.

Poor dragon has a leaky ceiling! At least you don't have a strapped bed ;P and no wonder the rain motif going on in these past few chapters. Hehehe, you have me hooked, and man you work, all of it is slowly coming full circle. Perhaps some loosened shall be tied in and I can start rereading,

hmph, typical senator is like a typical political bigot who pretends he knows about them without actually knowing anything about them. Reminds of those white supremacist Southern state politicians during the Civil Rights movements in the 1960s, heck he should know them better firsthand by actually talking to a dragon (preferably Vallen) in person, not rambling about personal beliefs and damned myths! It's a supermodern world for goodness' sake!
Well I see Sean's making the big effort now, and Vallen too. Heh, since he's more human tolerant, I like him representing his kind. However, Carnoc's still got issues ahead of him whether this works out or not.
Now this is the part where Simon's respectability dropped a dozen notches. Though his attitude to Carnoc is somewhat justifiable, giving Vical a shock and actually threatening to control their actions hardly counts as someone who deserves to be respected, let alone trusted since his own emotions get in the way in controlling his actions and that's not a steadfast and reliable individual. Plus, Carnoc being a total stubborn ass(mule) doesn't remedy situation.
So far, its still a great read. And leaky ceilings, hmmm, no wonder you posted the weather as rainy in the story but then again who likes drippy roofs, last year I got raindrops on my laptop in my bedroom!
I hope my comments didn,t offend(or frighten) you but I just feel a little hyperactive today.

Yes. Actually talking to a dragon instead of pretending it's a dog. However, he does have a point in questioning where all those stories about dragons hoarding treasure and killing princesses and the like might have come from...
I guess you could see it as, Simon doesn't care anymore. He wants to make Carnoc's life miserable, and as far as he's concerned, all dragons are just as evil and dangerous as he is, so he goes after Vical too.
What? Carnoc, stubborn? :3 You don't say!
I wrote this three years ago, weather now has nothing to do with in-story weather. :P

Carnoc really has a good way of making enemies (I blame his attitude for that). As for Simon, making life miserable to the ones that was put under his charge does make him a complete liability if the issue ever goes out. I blame bad management for those allowing him to continue being a handler since after all, he's supposed to be responsible for their welfare! And his grudge nursing way allows him to abuse his charges, and to top that, he's lost someone he cared about and it has a way of warping people's personalities. I hope a sensible politician like the Canadian prime minister would help Sean in his efforts. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but if Carnoc ever has a trial, those shock collars might be powerful evidences in court(if there was one) for triggering at least some of his acts. But that's still an idle speculation on my part. Enough said.
Not that Simon seems to care whether or not he provokes the big angry dragon.
Well, he was lucky, during the cycle. ;)
Perhaps a dragoness might learn to understand English, but learning to speak it is out of the question; they have to learn to pronounce the syllables while very young, or they'll never be able to say anything properly--and none of the dragonesses have learned.
