Sampson Black belongs to me,
SmartBatto
Sampson was flying through the Sea of Pitch Black between realities on his way back to Mirror City, humming a happy melody to himself as he did so. He was almost home when he heard arguing and bickering- The scent of negative emotions luring him to what appeared to be some kind of holy cathedral. Sampson poked his head out of the ground and from behind a pillar, bobbing up and down, like wading on the surface of the ocean, his golden bell acting as a buoy.
The bat’s eyes widened as he saw a huge angel and demon duo dodging a giant clockwork Voidling. It took Sampson’s ears a moment to adjust to whatever language the angel was screaming, adjusting it so that he could clearly understand while still retaining any vocal tones and accent the duo had. “If this is one of your creations Pride, you’ll join it in the afterlife!”
Sampson observed the amount of damage both had on their persons. “They’re both roughed up bad. If I’m going to break whoever’s behind the mask out of it, I’ll need a bit more information.” He thought, quickly bobbing over to the chair next to the purple demon, his foot the size of the Bat himself.
The purple demon skidded back on his feet, blood trickling down his mouth, his arm wiping it clean. “You think this abomination is mine own creation Glory?” He sputtered. “I would never create something I couldn’t hit!” He exclaimed. Ducking under a metal blade, slashing at him, and noticing the bat. “And now mine throne room has vermin in it, right when I just cleaned it too!”
“Cleaned?” Sampson thought. Before snapping his attention to the giant foot trying to squish him. He zipped out of the way to the area between the three beings and got stares of disgust from both the overlords.
Upon closer inspection, he saw several small tools on the pole-like body in between some gears. He popped out of the ground and flew up, his crystal wings shining in the grim light to the purple demon, “You, quickly, who did you upset and why?” Sampson received nothing but a dirty sneer. The bat widened his eyes in anger and gestured to the whirlwind of cogs that was once someone. The creature's head spinning around in a circle in milliseconds measures like the beat of a clock.
The demon growled a sigh and uttered. “It was a clock-repair imps to fix mine grandfather clock.” His face started turning a brighter shade of purple, “…some of my specimens gummed the gears and he wanted more payment.”
The bat’s face grew a wide and devious grin. “Did you do dirty with your clock?” He chirped with the Glory snickering in the distance. The face of anger and boiling blood vessels told him otherwise. With that, the king of the Void was off, zipping around and dodging golden blade-like appendages, whipping his bell around to smack away any blades he wouldn’t be able to avoid before summoning his claws slashing the limbs of each position off its body and knocking it off balance. He flew up into the sky before putting away his wings and starting a dead drop. Very quickly his bell grew to be about the size of Pride’s Palms and made spikes appear on the bell every few inches apart before landing on the golden mask with a giant sound of metal scraping metal for a brief second before a loud click could be heard.
The next thing anyone knew the mask blew open spewing black ooze everywhere and knocking Sampson back into the sky; The opening in the mask revealed a single red arm reaching out. Sampson wrapped his hoodie tail around the arm before letting the hand be devoured by the bell. “Hang on tight Mr. Clock Fixer!” He spoke, patting the bell, summoning his wings, and flying up and out of the mask. He began struggling at first. He Looked over at the Demon and Angel who both had the look of dumbfounded bewilderment as the tiny little “Vermin” was doing seemingly impossible things. Sampson then looked down and saw the red imp was already torso-free… for the most part, black hoses were connected to the spin and chest areas. “Don’t give up on what you love to do, even if your job is horrible, and the worst days happen; Always know that you can create and enjoy your own happiness!” He shouted to the imp between grunts of strength, watching as the fiery demon’s eyes quickly opened and proceeded to dart around.
The demon began pulling at the cords before black inky hands began pulling him back down. “You have to want to be free, that’s something that only you can decide, live in this misery or be consumed by it!” He screamed. A fire ignited in the imp’s black eyes, regaining their ocean-blue tone before he ripped out the cords and grabbed onto the purple lifeline. The tubes on his spine released, sending both into the air before Sampson landed both beings on the ground with the giant monster exploding into stardust shortly after.
The imp blinked and within the time it took to blink, the little bat that was roughly his size had donned a medical coat, a grey mustache, bifocals, and a head mirror; writing something on a clipboard. “I’m prescribing you… Let's see… I’d say, 550 MGs of Relaxation and hobby time. AKA a vacation!” He said in a purposely older-sounding fake voice, handing him a prescription paper with the words UNDENIABLE on the back.
A purple hand grabbed the paper out of his hands. “He doesn’t need relaxation he serves in mine hell for eternity.” He said ripping it up. Everyone watched as a beam of light zipped the overworked imp out of the room to an unknown location. Pride gripped the bat, who was back to normal almost as quickly as he changed, and began squeezing him tightly- “WHAT did you do to mine Savant!?”
The bat rolled his eyes while sighing. “First off, I have no lungs, I’m not your normal run-of-the-mill bat. Dos, he needed a vacation to enjoy himself, do you yourself not have vacations? HMM? He’ll be back in two weeks; In the meantime, He and his family will enjoy a vacation in their own locked-away paradise full of everything they need to recuperate!” Pride’s eyes shifted from anger to absolution. “If you had him cleaning that mess every day you did the deed, I’d feel regret and remorse.”
Pride sighed, easing his grip on the bat. “Okay, fine- I believe I may have scolded him a bit too harshly and will see about giving him more vacations through his eternal suffering.” He muttered, rolling his eyes back and forth and opening his palm, “But what about mine throne room?!” He asked watching Sampson already hopping onto the ground- raising his hand to the sky. Suddenly all the black ooze began swirling into the bat’s hand, forming a giant blackberry- to which he chomped down hard with glee; and returned the room to a better state than when everything prior had occurred.
The angel and demon blinked for a moment in sheer bewildered confusion as the bat began jumping and dancing to seemingly non-existent music as slick black juices dribbled down his chin. “Well, your throne room is clean at the least...” Glory Chirped. “Do you think we should pay him?” Glory looked over and saw a massive scowl. “HE SAVED US! Even if it’s not much, we’re in HIS debt.” Glory explained, dusting himself off and straightening his wings out.
“You do have a point there Angey-boo!” The two colossal figures jumped, and well- I do have something in mind.” The bat hummed. “You and your amazing pectorals look SO amazing in those bunny suits you had!” The two blushed at the compliment. “So juicy and plump, I’d just die if I could see that again!” Ignoring the fact that they were slightly confused at how he knew the bunny suits were a thing, smirks slid onto both Pride and Glory’s faces, it seemed they both had the same idea.
“You stay here…” Glory Started, “and we’ll be right back with your payment.” Pride finished as Sampson sat on his Bell, finishing his Blackberry. A few moments later, the two walked back into the room nude with muscles bulging and pectorals bouncing. Pride lifted him up and held him in place as the two giants smushed their pectorals together and began bouncing them. Sampson had hearts in his eyes as this went on for several hours until the blood-rush feeling to his head forced him to pass out.
