Historia Chronici - Lemuria
Lemuria is reputed to have been a land bridge reaching Australia, India, and Madagascar. In reality it still exists, and it's a transport network accessed by dreams. Faeries live in this between place and would slip into the waking world to carry off mortals and riches for their palaces of pleasure, and torment. They would also set up puppet nations of mortals plying their greed and in the end ensorcelling them into their power.

In the wake of the Purge, the worst of these faeries have been destroyed and those who remain are more shy and retiring than the Demon Lords their civilization once was. Still known to abduct mortals into their harems, and pilfer jewelry they find desirable, they generally keep to themselves and employ capable mortals to guard the entrances to their hidden realm, frequently paying, or controlling, in unimaginable pleasures of the flesh.
