Gildy asked to see a picture of me reading a story to my little Monster. She's almost 4 now, so she no longer sits rapt to attention when I tell stories. Now there's questions and repetitions to follow the story.
One of our favorite series of books is the Apple Tree Farm books. With Mrs.Boots, her daughter Poppy, and her son Sam. They are good books and they have some very sound and awesome illustrations. Highly recommended.

Aw, that's adorable. I remember when I was a kid, there was nothing I loved better than being read stories by my parents. They always read me the coolest things, too, like The Hobbit and Mary Stewart's quintet of books around the Arthurian legends. It's really great to see that tradition continuing on to the children of today.
You're welcome Puppy. And really, you have, even if it has been from a distance. She talks about you all the time and whenever skype rings, no matter who she is, she answers it with "Hi Foxbrush*" She loves you too, even if it is across the pond.

awww! So adorable, I am working in a second grade class room and have gotten so many questions when I read them stories and sometimes you just have to sit and blink wondering. "where on earth did that question come from in their tiny little minds." I have a feeling she will start asking you those sooner than you thinks ^_~ She is so adorable and I am happy to see you both are doing well!!
