Well, primarily because she's a villain; there's the principle of the thing, you know.
But the more subtle underlying reason is that she's uncompromising and stubborn to the point of self-delusion; as Sigma said, they risk detection if they leave, and if "he" doesn't want to join them, that risk will basically have been for nothing.
People who can't understand that simple logic need to have some sense knocked into them.
