So I'm having some issues with her design of late. I'd love to keep the jacket, but for whatever reason, it's just been really difficult to draw. Plus, I don't know if I should keep with the skirt or go to shorts like this. I like the face on this one, but the rest is pretty meh...she looks too old, more like an older teen then a fourteen year old.

Skorts, it loosens up the need for being so tight with shorts. As for the jacket, it doesn't exactly go with the ensemble unless as mentioned earlier this is an adventuring outfit. You might want to try something looser as well more flowing. Still their lovely garments and on a lovely furson.
Shorter, pudgier, and more diaper; that seems to be where your forte is. Seriosly though, you can probably keep this design; it's not like a group of plucky teenagers can save an alternate dimension from a League of Super Evil-style Elder God in just a year or two.
