ik abbs arn't the most common thing as they take a lotta effort to get and maintain.. but I just love the aesthetic. Be lieing if I said I didn't want a jacked person to just pick me up like a baby.

Well, a good ant owner wouldn't let that happen. would give the coloney more space as it grows to accommodate its needs or have a means of controling the population (saw one channel use a small moat with fish to eat ants as they fall in the water... but if one didn't.
They would probably try to escape.

A good terrarium has babypowder round the rim of the terrarium to stop the ants climbing out. Or they are fully closed with super small gaps for air. The ants will start to clean of the powder or try chewing through the plastic. They are both strong and comunal so will escape if they wanna.
The main goal is to give them what they need and they generally dont try to escape.

Thats just my understanding tho from watching videos for hours on end at uni.. not kept any myself yet.

Oh wow I didn’t know baby powder was ok to use that’s cool the only terrarium I’ve seen is those flat glass ones that always look to small and thay use some kind of sand I think

ye its fine to use, mix the babypowder with some water. rub it on the rim. Makes it super slippery for em. If they arnt trying to escape then they learn fairly quickly that its not a safe spot to walk.

seen them too, got simular ones made of gel. I hate the gel ones as they get moldy.
Id imagine the thin ones are ok for starter spaces but id say it will be out grown fairly quickly
