He looks down to his cane, which has a brass motif of a lion on the tip of the handle, which he presses a finger of his left hand against as if to inspect the textures on it. He also wears a dark silver and blue ring on that hand. The cane itself has a large silver ring at the base of the handle. From there it extends to the wooden shaft of the cane, which he holds with his right hand.
