You won't see me trying to make America out to be the technological leader of the world. We lost that title with Bush the First, and Republicans just keep giving it away (Democrats aren't doing much better)

I was actually referring to Bush Sr, the one who invaded Iraq initially, not his pathetic son, puppeteered by Cheney into finishing the job.

Republicans are pro-business. They believe so much in the notion that profit at all costs is good, but they fail to realize that it is both only good for them, and only good in the short term. If you screw up the economy so badly by concentrating all the wealth, the economy fails, and all their wealth and power becomes meaningless. By seeking their "success" they are merely guaranteeing their own eventual failure...along with ours.
