Zeelo didn't think much of it when he read the words of this supposed spell out aloud. The strange phrase composed of silly made-up words sounded pretty funny, which only made sense, it was a story book meant for kids after all. And the effects described in the story were pretty cute, too. Uttering the spell, the protagonist of this book would transform into a big, strong and fierce lion!
Zeelo couldn't help but giggle awkwardly. Reading a silly little kids' storybook and speaking out some magical phrase like that? As if anything was actually going to happen.. And yet, it may have been exactly that spark of curiosity, that little child-like fascination with the idea of this part of the story that caused something.
To Zeelo's surprise, the letters of the phrase flashed and somehow vanished off the page! Then a sense of comfortable warmth washed over him. Zeelo's hoodie also felt a whole lot more spacious suddenly.. the book heavier and bigger and ever trickier to hold onto. Was he shrinking? And what's this brown fluff on his paws.. wait, paws? Zeelo watched these sudden changes.. this was happening, right?
His newly grown tail would show his excitement, swishing out of Zeelo's baggier and currently continously slipping shorts. Before long, Zeelo would find himself in a pile of his own clothes. He was a little too short to wear them now and a bit too young as well. However, the fluffy brown fur all over him would make up for a lack of fitting attire.
The spell may not have turned Zeelo into a fierce lion, but he had no complaints about being a lion cub. And besides, it perfectly fit his child-like curiosity.
