Reference sheet of my character, Ceithir!
This is a shaded version of the refsheet. I've uploaded both the shaded and the flat version.
This is because I think the art looks somewhat better with shading;
However, should I ever want to use this reference to commission art, it would be much clearer for me to provide a refsheet without shading.
Ceithir is a hybrid between a cat and a dragon. The lower body is very catlike, with the upper body more being that of a furred dragon.
I always wanted to try drawing a taur from the first moment I saw them in art.
However, I was quite scared of actually attempting to draw one, as I imagined the anatomy of combining a feral and an anthropomorphic body, would be very difficult.
Turns out, I was right to be intimidated by the challenge! It was really difficult!
But... I think i pulled it off, at least in my own eyes.
Getting the anatomy and the poses just right was tough, but I'm satisfied with the result.
There's some meaning to the name. 'Ceithir' is the Scottisch Gaelic word for 'four'.
Probably my biggest art project I've done, with so many poses and details and legs (so many legs...).
I'm glad its finally finished!
