Wasnt sure at first if i never knew that Ninetales could do Sould Vore or not but after quite some research, nope, they dont but ive seen quite the discussions around it so im not really sure where this Rumor started. As for Emily, i just one day woke up and was like "What if Ninetales, but with draining energy" and applied that to one of Vulna's Children lmao

I'm not sure where exactly you were researching, because the fact souls can be seen inside a vulpix's flames is a god damned dex entry, and they are literally kitsunes. Eating souls is what a kitsune is most known for. The catch is that a vulpix or ninetales, even though by all rights they should be ABLE to eat a soul, and there's minor hints that they do so on occasion, the same logic that proves they can also shows that they don't. Golden fur and excessively polite. The mark of a kitsune who's "Good" and doesn't eat people, gaining their tails through either time or heroism.
Also um ... the creation for a Nintales is literally about how 9 great sages all sacrificed themselves to each grant a foxmonster their power. The first ninetales was basically a bunch of old dudes in a trenchcoat. This is once more an actual dex entry, soul vore is the very foundation of how Ninetales came to be.
From what I can tell looking through the lore, it seems like the reason they don't eat people is because it would be rude to do so, and these things don't like being rude. So like, where exactly did you look to reach your conclusion?

For one, i didnt read through Vulpix's Entries, only Ninetales. As for the Sages thing, not every Dex Entry should be taken seriously. Folklore and Myths exist and can come into existence for various reasons (i.e. i like to think that Werewolves came to be because Warriors disguised themselves in Wolf Pelt to move undetected which over time people believed to be Wolves being able to transform into human beings). Long story short, i dont give the Sages Entry credit at all, just a mythos. It also wouldnt make sense at all as that would mean, that Ninetales has to be a standalone Mon. You cant have both it being the evolution of a Vulpix AND it being 9 People in one
Not to be rude myself, but if youre such a Dex Entry Lore Master, then you would know that there are just as many Dex Entries commenting on its spiteful nature as there are about how its 9 Sages in 1. And ontop of that, not every member of a species is the exact same lmao. Thats whats known as "giving a Character personality". Yes i tend to be a bit more lorefriendly with some of my Chars, but them being a copypaste of what their Dex Entry states would kinda defeat the purpose of an OC, now would it?
