As a railroad enthusiast, the train in the photo appears to resemble the Amtrak Acela, the fastest passenger train in America.
It was made by Bombardier (From German and Canada) and Alstom (France), and entered service on December 11th, 2000. There were a total of 20 built to work alongside the now retired HHP-8 and AEM-7AC. Their consist include 2 power cars and 6 coaches, which can hold a maximum of 304 people, 44 in first class, and 260 in Business Class (Equivalent to an airplane's economy class). They were numbered 2000-2039, and operate on the Northeast Corridor of the United States, the only few parts of the country with electrified lines. The train has a top speed of 165 mph (266 km/h), but track conditions limit them to 150 mph (240 km/h) in certain areas. They have a total of 4 Alstom 4-FXA-4559C 1,540 hp (1,150 kW) 3-phase AC induction motors which produce 6,200 hp (4,600 kW). These train sets won't be here for long, however, as Amtrak announced their gradual retirement and replacement. Their replacement is the Avelia Liberty, which is similar to the French SNCF TGV M sets. Although, they're still undergoing testing and have not yet entered service.
Sorry, I got a little carried away.
