Sasha 'Mac' Mackenzie 25. The squad's Jack of all trades, and tough girl.

Sasha grew up in a rough downtown neighborhood. Eldest sister to 4 younger brothers and sisters with the oldest being 10, and primary guardian after her father was killed in a car accident, the same which left her mother bound in a wheelchair from paralysis from the waist down. Since she turned 16 she's been busting her ass working multiple jobs to make ends meet, including a few certain types of 'jobs' that she's not too proud of. During one of those 'jobs' she was nearly arrested for beating a guy trying to force himself to be her pimp. Luckily, the cop was an old friend of her father and couldn't bear to see her like this and suggested that she join the military like her father did before her. At first hesitant, she realized it'd be best for her family if she did join, so she enlisted. As of now her family is now under the care of the police officer while she does her duty.

She saves nearly every penny earned and sends most of her pay to her family back home, keeping only a minimal amount for herself for necessities. She tends to keep to herself and rarely makes any friends. Bounced from squad to squad due to a tendency to not get along with others, and ending with her beating someone down when they discover she has little patience and a short temper, her latest deployment sent her to the desert when she has joined Dusty's squad as their "Jack" or Jack of all trades. She's qualified on most heavy weapons making her second to Skrap as the heavy weapons specialist, and knowledgeable enough in field medicine to act as second to Debbie were someone to be injuired. She's also trained to be a squad leader to act as Dusty's XO were something to happen to her. A shame she doesn't get along with the others to take advantage of those benefits.

Distancing herself from the others nearly cost her her life when she continually volunteered for hazardous assignments, earning the extra hazard pay due to how dangerous they are. Performing a night recon with another squad, she was assigned as a side gunner on a helicopter when it was suddenly taken down by small arms fire damaging the tail rotor. The crash killed the pilots and wounded everyone on board including Sasha. Outnumbered and about to be overrun, Sasha and the few others who could fight formed a defensive perimeter and requested EVAC. For 15 long minutes they held their position, the survivors getting wounded one by one till Sasha was the only one still able to fight. When asked later, she said she was worried about her family when she thought she was about to die. Luckily, help arrived in an odd manner.

For some reason, enemy fire lightened up and they turned to see something coming up from behind them. She could hear some music playing in the background getting louder, and was surprised to see the enemy abandon their position to avoid getting run down by a speeding HUMV being driven by Dusty, and having the Benny Hill theme song "Yackety Sax" on loudspeakers, while Skrap was trying to man the .50 cal on top. Just try imagining the scene of several rebel insurgents being chased by an up-armored HUMV while this theme song plays in the background, and you can imagine the thought's coursing through Sasha's mind.

Added to the fact that he couldn't hit any of the enemy because of Dusty's erratic driving just adds to the humor.

While that scene was running around in circles, a friendly IFV pulled up to the chopper wreckage and Debbie hopped out to help with the evac. Unfortunately, when it became apparent at how silly their situation became, the enemy split up and started returning fire on the crazy HUMV crew as they did donuts in the sand with the music still playing and gun still firing. Skrap reporting he got dizzy as hell around that part. Nearing the end of the evac, when Debbie was trying to drag a wounded Sasha to the IFV, she took a round to the chest. While it didn't penetrate her kevlar, it did knock the wind out of the mouse. Thinking that the one saving her was going to die, Sasha, in a fit of rage got up and dragged the wounded comrade to the IFV while returning fire at the enemy. Safely in the vehicle, the HUMV and IFV hauled ass when a sudden artillery strike started raining down on them. The two vehicles were swerving and weaving to avoid being hit by their own artillery while the song was STILL playing on the loudspeakers. Were the situation not a life and death one, it'd be rather funny in it's own sense.

When the squads returned and the wounded tended to, Sasha limped herself over to Skrap and Dusty by the HUMV, where they managed to turn off the music finally, and thanked them for what they did. She then spent most of her time recovering next to Debbie, whom she also thanked. After that incident, she has warmed up to her team more, and the only thing she says that she regrets, is having that damned song stuck in her head.

During her recovery she discovered that her mother remarried and hooked up with her father's old cop buddy who was taking care of her family. While she is free from the obligation to send her family money, she still does so and has chosen to stay in a bit longer to keep an eye on her team. She hangs out with them constantly, and works out with Skrap when he does and while hesitant at first, showers with Dusty. She is closest to Debbie, acting as her 'older sis' and close friend, she's more the over protective guardian than a lover, though she does sleep with her most often. Debbie is planning on joining the police force, working under her father's friend when her term is up.
