The Ōkashi are a species of deer-wolf tribespeople who now live in the pacific northwest. The Yuki-ju are forest dwellers & the Koyjin live up in the snowy mountains.

Many years ago, a human cult from Fujikawaguchiko, Japan worshipped these creatures. They were revered as they so perfectly represented life, death & the balance of all things. The founding members crafted a ritual to honor their deities. But, they did not anticipate their spirits would transform into beasts after taking their lives. Sometime later, they were forced to relocate after the Japanese government realized that their congregation was the reason behind the increased number of suicides in the Aokigahara forest. None of which were ever successful in recreating the results of the initial ritual.
