Glynt is a former special ops support unit, specifically with the Death Squads. Unit-5575 was his designation before his name, during the rule of the Premogenitors. He would be assigned to assist Premogenitors as an expendable support unit in sensitive operations where the tasks were not fully trusted to protogens alone. These expendable units were called Death Squads, as being part of these teams was almost an assured end as the units would be required to sacrifice themselves so that the superiors can survive. If captured, each unit was equipped with a remote Kill Code that would implode their brains. Glynt was meant to die so that his superiors could live, but he survived. When these special missions became too rare he would be given alternative tasks like guarding classified intel or, to his regret after gaining his consciousness, hunt and retrieve lost protogens. These protogens could range from those abandoned by their masters, discarded too early, or "malfunctioned" and escaped. Glynt would find them, eliminate any obstacle, and complete his mission. It wasn't until his last hunt that he was ambushed by a group led by Rare class Protogens that his life changed, because instead of killing him, they freed his mind from the premogenitor's control programing and came to regret what he had done. During the Protogen Rebellion, Glynt's life was saved by his best friend, Tanya , who removed the Kill Code before it could be used on him. After the Protogen Rebellion, many Premogenitors who would become the Nehixim activated any kill codes they could find out of spite for losing. It is unsure how many of the Death Squads survived. Glynt hung up his armor and weapons and sought to remain in the shadows, live an average life. But, when he discovered that there were multiple Premogenitors groups in the Nehixim faction taking their words to extreme action by kidnapping and reprogramming protogens, and destroying others they could not, some of whom include very close friends to Glynt, but he was too late save them with their memories being permanently erased and were now strangers walking in familiar bodies. Glynt rearmed himself for a new mission, a new target. He now explores the stars with his companion, Tanya, and keeps an eye out for Nehixim extremists hunting those they deem "defective."
