I bingewatched all episodes OPLA today and what can I say except I LOVE IT in short conclusion.

YES. It's subjective but I love it. But objectively easily the best anime life action there is so far and it can hardly be topped anytime soon.
I love that Buggy is even cooler in his debut and keeps having screentime after Orange Town. I really like that Garp has much more screentime too.
Even the LA Luffy inspires and motivates me more than the original manga version, sorry, no fronting the manga of course but somehow I can take life action Luffy more serious and he gets to me more.
The show is also good for newcomers to the franchise, I think.
BUT they made quite a few changes to the manga plot. It all comes together well but just so you know, situations, timing, etc are different than in the manga.
For example, Buggy and Arlong meet each other and have conversations.
And the plot feels a bit quick sometimes but there are no plot holes or anything as far as I noticed.
So.... anyway GO WATCH IT 😁

Abridged... I don't know.
Just watch and see for yourself! You know the anime/manga or most of it? Then you could compare the original and LA well.
It's actually good for people who haven't watched the original yet, but the pacing is much faster. For people with a shorter attention span it never gets boring (and for me, the anime is a bit too slow so I enjoyed the faster pacing). For others it ould be a bit too fast but it al ties seemingly together so it has a good flow. Just watch!
