My friend was talking about happy characters vs more gritty characters and she drew two versions of a cat hero as an example. A happy cute big-eyes little cat with a bowler hat named Super Whiskers, and then a darker, tall, more realistic version with a scary face and long claws etc. She talked about how both could tell their own story, but she had a clear bias towards the idea of the "cooler" one, saying she would watch the show, while saying "I hate him already lol" when describing the cute features of Super Whiskers. (it is just what floats her boat)

Really I just drew it because her essay made me think about how I really enjoy it when cute hero characters get moments when they act really awesome, more-so then when already awesome characters get awesome moments. BUT THATS ME.
