The image just reminds me of the stuff composer John Cage would do. He'd always have weird things he'd consider instruments.
I believe he'd also compose some pages of music, throw them up in the air, and whatever order he picked them up in would be the order of how it was supposed to go. :3

Am reminded of Bay Area media satirists Negativland, some of whom have taken part in KPFA's Over the Edge since the early 80s. "Not college radio, COLLAGE radio"--themes, satire, comedy, mixes, documentaries all mixed in to one. Producer Don Joyce and other members use tape loops, a weird
custom made synthesizer called the Booper, etc. Interesting type of radio show! And somehow this reminded me of that.

>>OTE’s themed mixes are made live and spontaneously on the air from a variety of formats and equipment. There is a plan and there is no plan. The mix consists of found sound of many kinds and from many sources put together on the run as the continuous audio collage progresses.
OTE sometimes employs Receptacle Programming which means you. Phone callers are punched into our mix with no warning. Call 510-848-4425 to deposit your programming. When your phone stops ringing, you’re on the air. Don’t say “hello” – just begin.
