It's been a really long time since I've drawn Sesshomaru in human form with his wife Angeline...I like how this came out as a sketch, but I started doing it in sai and didn't like how it looked inked...

The story behind the two characters [outside of Sesshomaru's role in the series Inuyasha] is Sesshomaru's father bought Angeline when both she and Sesshomaru were little from her father who was whoring her out to support his dependance on alcohol [yes even in the feudal era there were drunks sorry to say...] InuTaisho was like a father to her and those outside the family often questioned her role in the household.

Angeline was always intended to be a companion for Sesshomaru, InuTaisho told her the day he paid for her and walked her away from the little traveling cart that she had been living in that she was to be a friend for his son, as they got older they became closer and closer and eventually Sesshomaru asked his father if he wasn't allowed to marry her. They were engaged before InuTaisho's death.

After the demon lord died, Sesshomaru left to wander Japan in search of strength and conquest [mainly he just didn't want to be trapped at home I think LOL] and Angeline was told to leave as well. She settled down in a human village in the western lands to wait for her mate to be to come and claim her.

PS. If you can't tell that's Sesshy in the mirror...in the doorway, he was proving difficult to draw so I got lazy XD
