Lehti! His coat changes every season to reflect the flora.

winter form might be my favorite hahah... he gets fluffier and his tail crisps up and falls off, so he just has little buttfluff until he buds a new tail in the spring. *u*

Winter form is my favorite <3 I had a character who was kinda like this, but her tail was a huuuge flower that bloomed. I eventually dropped the concept though :C It was too difficult to pull off. I think I need to draw his winter form though. so so cute <3

When I saw the thumbnail I thought they were more realistic versions of Eevee's evolutions, then I read your comments. The series turned out very well and I think the leaf/tail thing and it's seasonal change is kinda unique.

And if they did go for a more realistic look for Pokemon, I can see this working for Eevee and company ^.^
