Zonos brought Gyako to the river bank and pointed at it.
"River..," was the only thing he said.
"Oh yeah," Gyako responded feeling a little embarassed after seeing the multitude of fishes in the river, "I forgot that rivers have fish."
"Don't worry, most people forget the gifts of nature..."
The purple cat takes a seat a looks at Gyako, "Well go on."
"Right, uhh yeah, it's just that's it's been a while since I caught a fish, I hope I can remember how to do it."
"Take your time," Zonos said tiresomely.
Gyako spotted a medium sized grey fish and dunked in his paw swiftly, however the fish got startled and swam away.
"Drat!" Gyako yelled looking back at Zonos, "almost had... him..."
Zonos had, all of a sudden, a fishing rod. Gyako was confused as he did not see him with it or around the area.
"Umm, where did you get that?" Gyako asked him.
"I've always had it..." he said.
"But I never saw you with it until now."
"Then you haven't been looking..."
"What a strange cat," Gyako thought to himself, but since he had a fishing rod, then they would be able to catch a fish for the both of them.
"Hey, can you catch one for me?" Gyako asked politely with a little smile.
"No"
"But whyyyyyyyy!!!"
"Do you not trust your natural skills?"
"I do bu-"
"Then catch one."
Zonos was not budging. Gyako would have to do it by himself. It's been so long since his father taught him and he was struggling. After five attempts Gyako was begining to become frustrated.
"Arrrgh, what's the point!" he yelled out.
"Focus," Zonos told him.
"Huh."
"Focus," he repeated, "you can do it."
Zonos was right, getting frustrated would not help him. He had to focus and Zonos seemed to be 'cheering' him on. Gyako closed his eyes, took a deep breath calmed and tried to focus. He tried to remember everything he could, all that his father taught him. Gyako opened and spotted his target. A large carp. This was the one. He was not letting this own slip by him.
