A piece from Keiko Kidd, a friend on a Discord server I'm a part of.
A scene from my minotaur girl's backstory. Hired to assault a temple along with the mercenary crew she was a part of, she was injured in the assault and left for dead. The priests she had just been attacking healed and cared for her. To repay them, she aided in the rebuilding of their temple.
It's debated if this act of mercy and kindness led to her redemption, or the deep head injury she suffered.

It makes for a great catalyst for heel-face turns. Minotaur are normally a 'bad guy' species in most fantasy settings, and I wanted a different story for mine other than 'raised by the good guys', and it felt in-character for a bunch of healers and priests to be sympathetic to their fallen foes.
In the canon of the character, Denme, the priests were devoted to the goddess Chauntea. A goddess of agriculture and farming. I just thought it was a good/funny fit for a character who was... basically a large humanoid cow, haha.
