The tenth anniversary of TUFFRanger was actually in April, but I didn't make anything for it then, so I figured since the TUFFRangers will be in action in Draconightger Vs. Fangranger, I figured I'd make this picture.
Back in 2013, before any official Super Animal Squadron series had ever been made, or even before I thought up the idea, I had done the TUFF Agents as Power Rangers after I had made suits to protect them from these evil brains in one story I wrote, and I thought they looked like Power Rangers. So I took it a step further and made them actual rangers. Although I didn't consider it canon until the team-up of the first official Super Animal Squadron series, Woodland Squadron: Foresger. Later at Christmas, the TUFF Agents got ranger keys to become rangers anytime they wanted to, but the Chief limited it to very serious missions. They are not recognized as an official Super Animal Squadron team even in-universe. After all, they are secret agents, not superheroes.
What is interesting is that the main TUFFRanger suits are a core of nine, which is something that wouldn't happen in Power Rangers or Super Sentai officially until four years later with Uchu Sentai: Kyuranger. It is a shame that Hasbro thought that they could get away with not adapting Kyuranger into Power Rangers the way it was supposed to be, but lucky for us, we will get Freedom Squadron: Liberanger next year.
Earlier this year, Shine Ortiz got a new look, so this is the first time I've drawn her in her ranger suit since she had gotten her new look. This won't affect the team-up all that much since with the exception of Eli, they all will make morphed appearances only. But Cat will mention about Shine getting her new look.
From left to right: Aaron Katswell/TUFF Black, Cat "Madame Catastrophe" Katswell/TUFF Silver, Michael Katsworth/TUFF Green, Shine Ortiz/TUFF Orange, Dudley Puppy/TUFF Red, Kitty Katswell-Puppy/TUFF WHite, Eli J. Brown/TUFF Gold, Kristina Kittensworth/TUFF Blue, and Matthew Rabbit/TUFF Yellow.
Characters are from Butch Hartman, Darklord-Demon19, Trainman3985X, ShinyBlueberryJ50, BerryViolet, and me.
