Continuing on the path towards Wikari town and camping out in a cave to avoid a brief shower, Gyako finds himself walking parallel to a river. It is a very scenic place; very clear water, a flowery hedge, some trees and a purple object? That doesn't seem right. Gyako goes to investigate the object behind the hedges. As he approaches he hears some light snoring. It is an animal and it is alive. Gyako is hesitant on peering over tye hedge as he is think that this could be a dangerous beast, though since it is sleeping he would have the advantage.
Finally, Gyako builds some courage and looks over. He immediately breathes a sigh of relief. It was a fellow dragon cat, of the same species as well. He seems to be in a deep sleep, but Gyako wanted to know why is he sleeping here of all places.
"Um, excuse me?" Gyako whispers as to not startle them.
"Mmmm," the purple cat responds. He raises his head and lets out a big yawn. He then looks at Gyako but he keeps his eyes closed.
"Oh, ...hello...," he says in a monotone voice.
"Aren't you gonna open your eyes?" Gyako questioned.
"Have you ever slept outside in broad daylight with the sun beating down on you, you wouldn't want to open your eyes."
"Uhh," Gyako says very confused, "I guess that makes sense. But why are you sleeping here, don't you have a house."
The purple cat raises his eyebrows. "Who is this cat and why is he so interested in where I sleep" he thinks to himself. "Well I guess I have to give him an answer."
"I do have a house... well it's more of a shed I guess but I do a lot of traveling and working that I just fall asleep in random places. This place here is rather soothing. The cool breeze passing over my fur... the gentle gushing of the river... I was sleeping very well until you came."
"So how long have you been sleeping here?" Gyako asked him.
"... 35 hours..." was the response.
"35 hours!" Gyako exclaimed, "How have you not been attacked in that space of time?"
"The creatues here know not the cross me..." he said.
This kinda creeped Gyako out a bit. The cat looks pretty ordinary, but could he be that strong. He seems to have good intentions so Gyako tries to not act as scared of him.
"So what about you... what brings you to the great wilderness?" the purple cat asked him.
"I currently on my way to Wikari. I'm exploring the lands, trying to discover new places and meet new people," Gyako responds with a little pose.
"Well you just met one..." the purple cat smiles, "my name is Zonos, nice to meet you."
"I'm Gyako," Gyako says shaking his paw, "it's nice to meet you to."
As Gyako shakes Zonos' paw he hears a growl come from his stomache. Zonos looks down with a little embarrassment.
"Oh yeah... I forgot it's been a while since I last ate."
"Don't worry, I can fix that," Gyako says pulling out his bag that he has been carrying. He searches through maps, books and compasses to find some food. Then it hits him.
"I FORGOT TO PACK FOOD!!!" he screams.
As Gyako goes into a panic, Zonos just looks at him and rolls his eyes.
"You really aren't prepared for your journey are you," he tells him but Gyako is to busy having a mental break down to listen.
"Oh what to do, what to do, what to do!" he keeps repeating.
"Hey," Zonos says puting his paw on his shoulder, "calm down, come this way, I'll show you how to get food."
