When he was young, Gyako a ways wanted his father to take on adventures like he did in his stories but his father always said that he was too old for that or that he had to take care of the family. However, after many months and years of asking his father said that he would take him on one in the future. Oh how happy Gyako was to here that. He immediately starting making plans and maps of all the places he would soon be exploring. Unfortunately, that day would never come as Gyako's father grew very ill and passed away a few months later.
Now Gyako is much older and a bit more independent, so he decides that now is the time to go on that much anticipated adventure that was planned so many years ago. While Gyako was in his room packing his bag of supplies and maps and the like he spotted a book on his table. It was his father's book of adventures.
"I forgot that I left it here," he thought to himself as he gazed at it.
It brought back memories of his father and the time that they spent together when he was still alive. Though, it also brought back the memory of his father's unfulfilled promise. This filled him with anger and sadness. He grabbed the book and held it as to tear in to pieces but he couldn't do it. He new that his father loved him and would have always wanted to take him. He knew it was not his fault he died. He place the book Dow and sighed.
"Dad, "he said a he looked up to the ceiling, "I know you are watching over me and guiding me. And I know that you always wanted to go on this adventure"
Gyako put the book in his bag and smiled.
"So let's go on this one together."
