Ezolae (Ezzy)
Race: Dorghin (Goblin) female, Amoral (Selfish)
Role: Chief Willie and Lilla's oldest child, Shaman (Zyrvash) in training.
Personality: Ezzy possesses a full figure and believes herself to be remarkably attractive for a Dorghin. She cunningly leverages her looks to manipulate others and effortlessly get what she wants. Ezzy has mesmerizing, naturally sapphire blue eyes and auburn hair, but she artfully employs minor magicks to transform her hair into a striking platinum blonde shade which is typically very rare amongst the Dorghin. Despite having the characteristic darker natural markings on her arms, hips, ears, and tail like all Dorghin, she diminishes these through the same magicks, further accentuating her chosen image. She can be somewhat arrogant and uses her charm to exert influence over those around her. Laziness often prevents her from fulfilling her responsibilities, especially in regards to her training as a future shaman under Lilla's guidance. Her tendency to prioritize flirting and manipulation over her duties causes resentment among those who see through her behavior.
Oldest Child Syndrome: Being the oldest child, Ezzy feels entitled and expects to be treated with a certain level of respect and deference. She believes that her position makes her the rightful heir to her parents' legacy, both in terms of power and as the future shaman. This sense of entitlement adds to her arrogance and exacerbates the tension between her and Rozika.
Relationship with Rozika: There is a deep-rooted animosity between Ezzy and Rozika. While Ezzy attempted to manipulate and control others, Rozika saw through her schemes and often played pranks on her older sister, deliberately targeting Ezzy's vulnerabilities. This ongoing conflict between the two sisters intensifies the tension within the tribe, with each of them vying for dominance and recognition.
Gobbo Wife Material: Due to her attractive appearance and the expectation of fulfilling traditional Dorghin wife roles, Ezzy is seen as "proper gobbo wife material" by the tribe. This further boosts her sense of self-importance and contributes to her belief in her superiority over others.
Honorific name: At the beginning of the tale, Ezzy grapples with the absence of an honorific name, a source of considerable frustration for her, particularly as her three younger siblings — Borkus, Zimwick, and Rozika — have already earned theirs. Yet, as the narrative unfolds and Ezzy navigates trials, and ultimately achieves reconciliation, a profound change takes shape. As the tale reaches its culmination, Rozika bestows upon her the honorific name "Twice-Born," a poignant symbol of her transformative journey and triumphant reconciliation.
