Hello there,
I don't know if it's just me, but being in the presence of a larger animal more so one that I admire or are fond of - I feel safer/at ease with. There's this sense of tranquility and endearment that envelopes me and I feel great comfort. In regard to big dogs and the like, especially. Like whenever I would go and visit family I would always be around their dogs because It made me super happy - and seeing their funny faces when I pet them was always super cool given how I didn't have a dog of my own up until recently.
So I'd imagine that feeling of tranquility would be increased tenfold to the power of tenfold if that dog was a giant friendly and goofy Husky like Dudley - who can actually talk unlike a regular dog (Or honestly I think animals do but just when we're not looking or listening. I feel like my dog calls me dumb when she gives me those looks XD ). Just imagine having a macro for a friend, you could view places from heights you've never seen before, have the warmest bed that is their belly, have the best 'guard-dog', and of course be able to pet/cuddle with such a large doggo :D
But such a prospect is not without its short comings. Dudley here very much wants to say hi to you and invite you to come closer, but in his head he thinks you might be afraid of him or taken back by his size - so he tries to smile ear to ear even by the help of his paw when he reaches out but it just makes him look disingenuous and scary with his bared teeth smile looming near you. Poor Husky can't catch a break, all he wants to do is say hello and maybe get in a few good licks to your face in greeting ha-ha.
He never puts up a facade, he genuinely likes to meet people and build rapport with them because without his Australian Shepherd friend he's rather lonely. So if you ever manage to get close to him, he'll be super happy if you non-reluctantly say hello :D
Now I know what you might be thinking - "Doggedly, why have you drawn a forest background for the morbillionth time?"
To that I say, "Please forgive me I am still poor at doing them!"
Really, I have been experimenting and you'll see the result of it when I post an update to my main comic tomorrow. Hopefully, I still have some more work to do on it but I'm trying to have it out by tomorrow. With time being a rare commodity recently - I want to thank those who have still been following my work and even commenting on my posts. I don't post often and they may be underwhelming at times. But I'd rather post something I'm rather happy with once in a while than just constantly posting random half-baked sketches to simply fill my gallery. I still really do love my projects, and I want to see them explored to the fullest. And I'm glad to know there are people here that are following my actions to do so.
Thank you all :D
Until next time (again hopefully tomorrow or you can tug my ears for a millennia) -
have a great day.

Ha-ha that's exactly what it is! Not a lot of things more adorable than the cute ear to ear smile of such a large canine :D
It really is hard for a dog to control how they show their emotions, they can't seem to stop their wagging tail due to their immediate happiness at all. But at least you know exactly how they feel!
He tries not to be overbearing with his affectionate 'kisses' - but he can't help it. It's in his nature, I'm just glad I'm very much a fan of such XD
