Here is another picture of my house, and the new layout.
Layout was important, and we had attempted to lead the eye in directions. We contrasted the warm palate' of the house with the stark white of the dining room set, to make it seem cleaner. As I feel wood tones can make the room too dark.
it also matched the accent colors of the runners.

Love what you did with that wall right of the entryway (putting that windblown sculpture there gives it a nice feel). The whole area looks really open and airy and for the back wall (the red) it looks VERY similiar to the colors we have in our kitchen (pics are up at user name savannahhyena ;)
