I was going to have Sandy coaching her, "Good! Now take another step! And another! You're doing great!" but because I'm cut down to three cartoons a week, I left that one out. If you look real close, you can see Sandy's holding Kathy by the elbow, helping to guide her, and Kathy's looking down, not out at the crowd.
As Sandy said, "she has to do this on her own." If she is seen as weak in this first encounter with "her people," her reputation will never recover. Hyenas are not compassionate, they jump on weakness and exploit it. No one will feel sorry for her because she's got stage fright. They'll just wonder if she'll freeze up when it matters, like in battle.
