Like lonely ghosts at a roadside cross
We stay
--
Piece about grief that I began in 2020 and then revisited to finish up yesterday. The driving force behind it was originally trying to cope with the death of my beloved cat Helo, and the compulsion to finish it was tied up in the grief of coming to terms with change.

Also, hello there FA. It's been quite some time. As this was previously my longest running and most complete gallery, I would like to resume posting here and to go back and dig up all the art I've neglected to share here - which may take some time.
But rather than struggle to post my backlog in order, I figured I'd share something fresh. A ton has changed for me and is changing still. Some sad, some overwhelming, but mostly moving in a very good direction. I also live in the Netherlands now, and have since the end of March this year! I hope you are all well. c:

Wonderfully haunting piece, might use it as a desktop background. Sorry to hear things have been rough but glad they are improving! Very happy to see you back, and hope to see you around more!
The rain and fluids in general in this piece are phenomenal as is the lighting and I think I can see what happened to Helo through this piece. Very tragic and a rough situation to cope with.

Thank you for the warm welcome back, and I'm glad the piece resonated with you. c: You're certainly welcome to use it as a desktop.
Cancer got Helo actually - I have a longer description of the imagery in this painting here if you're morbidly curious.
