Ackchyually, they were originally called "The Seven Deadly Vices." Also, Gluttony originally had a "heavier" (heh) context. Rather than mere overindulgence, it meant that one was willing to indulge their own desires (whatever they might be, not specifically food, drink, or drugs) while also remaining callous toward the needy. So it was related to Lust and Greed in that sense, and was almost exclusively an affectation of aristocratic libertines. Also, Sloth originally had a heavier context. It didn't mean ordinary laziness. It meant apathy.
