A while ago I was wandered around Wikipedia. Started from some jet fighters, then moved by links to Vietnam war , then to defoliants (they were used widely during it), then to cotton (defoliants are being used to ease mechanized picking of it). And on the page about cotton, I found a familiar name - Баранец (Veglamb). In fact a plant with such name existed in IRL mythology since europeans thought than cotton - a "plant wool" origonated from plant sheeps (seems logical ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
Somegow, the terms "veglamb" and "Vietnam war" become connected in my memory (I've even made a remake of an old copypasta based on that - ⁠it's in Russian, maybe I'll post it later) and become a local meme among my friends.
And a while ago, when LG released info about their veglamb character - Strudel - in VK, I decided to commission these two fanarts of him representing such meme - adjusted for Strudel's "agricultural" nature: flamethrower replaced by pesticide/herbicide sprayer, iconic F-4 Phantom replaced by no less iconic An-2.
The plants on this version are Sosnowsky's hogweed, a really hellish plant - just google it
