Недавно я решил переустановить Windows 10 Pro на SSD, и, после установки, накатил поверх графическую оболочку от Windows Vista.
После, долго и муторно покопавшись в системных файлах, выставил звуки запуска и завершения работы от Windows 98 Beta 2 (Что, как по мне, очень подходят стилю Vista).
С последним было сложнее всего: звук завершения работы в Win10 изначально отсутствует - пришлось заново его вручную прописывать в системе.
В итоге вышел подобный интересный эксперимент.
Recently, I decided to reinstall Windows 10 Pro on an SSD, and after installation, I installed the graphical shell from Windows Vista.
After a long and dreary rummaging through the system files, I set the startup and shutdown sounds from Windows 98 Beta 2 (which, in my opinion, are very suitable for the style of Vista).
The latter was the most difficult: the shutdown sound in Win10 is initially absent - I had to manually re-register it in the system.
The result was an interesting experiment.

Я при помощи OpenShell накатил "пуск" от Vista...
OpenShell я использовал только для меню. Остальную оболочку пришлось ставить вручную...

Ima stydied 4 years as IT-Specialist tho...
Vista was too ahead of its time: it required 512MB of RAM for comfortable operation, while XP worked well with 128MB of RAM. For comparison: The same thing if Microsoft were now releasing a new OS that requires at least 32GB of RAM to operate...
I prefer its aesthetic over 7 and later releases too.
Moreover, Ima installed Vista shell to all ma PCs with Win7...
Ima worked with Linux (OpenSuse), but prefer Windows.
