I wonder if the ears are more for detecting light than sound?

This creature was just something I made, but it could be be, so. I know a lot of small creatures with big ears use them to up spread heat around their body’s so they don’t overheat. I also like the idea of people coming together to help add to these creatures too, and I like the idea of people making their own canon for their characters too.
