Compared to acrylic paint pens, these markers are SMOOTH. They have thicker tips, which makes it easy to cover large areas. You can't really mix/blend them, though, but they are great for bold coloring or making cel shaded art. I like 'em! I'll have to combine them with acrylic paint pens to see if I can do something more detailed :0
