These gouache postcards are part of a large series where I will be aiming to paint 100 landscapes. These were painted in 2023.
Postcard 53 Ghost caps - This fungi cluster was so pale against the dark rotting wood it grew between.
Postcard 54 -The sheer size of these bracket fungi are hard to portray, but they were the size of dinnerplates and found all along the Lamington trail.
Postcard 55 Oppertunist - These little shelf fungi were found all over the dropped logs on the rainforest floor. These were a brilliant light yellow orange but some were a dark rust and equally beautiful.
Postcard 56 Invitation - A common sight from the japanese gardens found in Toowoomba. At the start of autumn the sun is still warm but the cold keeps a lot of tourists at home.
