's suit you will see he is clearly blue and cyan. Here he looks kinda... well... purple. Weird side effect of a close up and in door lighting I suppose.
And on the subject of cameras utterly failing to capture reality, mine thinks it's from the future.

it's the white balance that went off a little it ajust itself(or you adjust it in manual mode) according to the room's lightning, usually indoor lighning got a lower color temp so the whites appear yellowish, at the opposite sun lightning or more powerful spots got gives a blue-ish color to whites(higher color temp)
in order to give the most accurate color, the camera give a yellow-ish or blue-ish filter to counter this, in your pic it misjudged and gave a too much yellow filter, so cya + yellow = purple
even if it's not the real color, it gives a warm look to your picture, wich is pretty cool for such an intimate close up
