For some time, I've been meaning to visit the site of an artist whose work I like and follow, called Jake Richmond. He had been promoting his latest volume of collected stories about "Modest Medusa." I had bought the previous volumes and thought I should see about ordering the latest from the self-publishing artist. Payment is usually a bit of a hassle, since I don't have a credit card. But in discussion we decided on a trade, rather than my sending a money order in US funds, an unnecessary extra expense on top of the bank charge. This seemed like a good deal when Jake made the offer, and it also seemed like an interesting challenge. I took my time with the work, but finished it last night. Left to right, the figures are Jake's lead character, the young snake girl from the land of Yeld, whose name is Modest. Right, the two Fraggle characters I added to the TV show for my own fanwriting -- Darl and Kiki. The hockey jersey's are for the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs (the only two Canadian teams in the old six-team NHL) and the Great Hall Grizzlies (a made-up Fraggle team).
