PAW Patrol: Wolf Rescue: Pups Save a She Wolf Friend
Ryder and the pups were in the PAW Patroller, heading to a grand opening. Of which place? Adventure Bay’s new Wolf Reserve! Mayor Goodway was waiting for them to arrive.
“Ooh, we’re glad you’re here, PAW Patrol! Right, Chickaletta?
Chickaletta clucked.
“It’s great to be here too, Mayor Goodway.” Ryder said.
“Well, now that the PAW Patrol is here, Adventure Bay’s Wolf Reserve is officially open!”
The pups barked and cheered.
“It’s so nice that wolves now have a safe place to live!” Skye said.
“Wolves rule, dude!” Zuma said.
“Yeah!” Rocky said. “Let’s just hope the wolves are friendly and not hungry.”
“But many wolves are our friends!” Marshall said. “Besides, dogs descend from wolves!”
“Marshall’s right.” Ryder said. “There’s nothing to be afraid of.”
“Exactly!” Mayor Goodway said. “Now, please follow me. I’ll show you around.”
“And remember to stick together, everyone!” Chase said. “Don’t get distracted and stay on track.”
Ryder and the pups followed Major Goodway as they went on a tour around the Adventure Bay Wolf Reserve. There were lots of trees, birds were chirping and the sun shined bright above the treetops.
“Wow, what a beautiful forest!” Skye said.
“Indeed it is!” Mayor Goodway said. “In Adventure Bay’s Wolf Reserve, we got trees, berry bushes, rocks, cliffs, lakes, waterfalls… well, everything the wolves need for a comfortable environment!”
“Awesome!” Zuma said.
“Our goal…” Mayor Goodway continued. “Is to give wolves a home where they won’t have to struggle to get food or fall into nasty hunter traps.”
“Yeah!” Marshall said. “Because wolves are beautiful creatures and deserve to be protected.”
“While wolves might be often depicted as ferocious beasts, they actually play an important role in the ecosystem.” Rubble said.
“Wow… I didn’t know!” Rocky said.
“Many think wolves are capable of attacking people, but that’s not true.” Skye said “Wolves are afraid of humans.”
“You seem to know a lot about wolves!” Mayor Goodway said.
“We sure do!” Chase said. “And we also know how to howl like one! Awooooo!”
The rest of the pups howled along with Chase. Suddenly, another chorus of howls was heard. It sounded more beautiful and majestic. Ryder and the pups got startled.
“Oh! There are wolves nearby!” Mayor Goodway said. “But where can they be?”
“Look! Over there!” Ryder said.
Mayor Goodway, Ryder and the pups spotted a pack of wolves running together in the distance.
“They’re going on a hunt!” Mayor Goodway said. “How beautiful!”
Rocky gulped.
“I think we better move on.” Ryder said. “Come on, pups. Mayor Goodway, lead the way!”
After a while, the group stopped in front of a river.
“Hey, look, a beaver dam!” Rubble said.
“Ooh, the beavers must have finished it recently.” Mayor Goodway said.
Marshall noticed some sticks began to fall off the dam, as water jets came out of it.
“Oh, no! It’s breaking!”
“We have to fix it!” Ryder said. “Rubble, go get some sticks.”
“Rubble on the double!”
Rubble went off and returned with sticks in his mouth.
“Now we need someone to go up there and fix the dam.” Ryder said.
“Count me out.” Rocky said.
“I’ll go!” Zuma said. “Let’s dive in!”
He grabbed the sticks and jumped onto the dam, Then, he placed each stick in a hole, blocking the water jets.
“Good job, Zuma!” Ryder said.
Suddenly, Zuma slipped, fell into the river and was swept away!
“Zuma!” Skye cried.
“Pups, to the PAW Patroller!” Ryder said.
“Zuma needs us!” the pups said.
Meanwhile, Zuma had been washed away downstream and ended up unconscious at the riverside. Suddenly, he woke up.
“Ugh… where am I?” he wondered.
He looked around and realized his friends were nowhere in sight!
“Ryder! Marshall! Skye!” he called.
But no one answered. To make matters worse, he had lost his pup tag! He had no other option than to walk through the forest and try to find his team. Little did he know that somebody was watching him nearby.
At the PAW Patroller, the pups were heading to prepare for their rescue mission. On his way, Marshall tripped.
“Wooooaaaah!”
“Marshall, look out!” the pups exclaimed.
CRASH! Marshall landed on top of his friends.
“Looks like the Pup Dam didn’t have enough “bark” to stop the Marshall River!” Marshall joked.
All pups laughed as the Air Patroller’s door closed. Once they had their suits on, they formed in front of Ryder.
“PAW Patrol, ready for action, Ryder, sir!” Chase said.
“Good to see you here, pups.” Ryder said. “As you know, Zuma has been swept away by the river while he was fixing the beaver dam!”
“I just hope he’s okay.” Skye said.
“That’s why we’re going to find him. For this I’m going to need… Chase. Use you sense of smell to pick up Zuma’s scent so we can find him.”
“Chase is on the case!”
“Skye! Use your helicopter to search for Zuma from the air.”
“This pup’s gotta fly!”
“Alright, PAW Patrol is on a roll!”
While the other pups barked and howled, Chase and Skye ran up to their vehicles. As their names were shouted out, Chase’s police car and Skye’s helicopter were deployed, and both pups went to search for Zuma.
At the forest, Zuma was trying to find his way back to his friends. Suddenly, he heard something moving among some bushes.
“Huh? Who’s there?” he asked, startled.
Zuma heard somebody giggling. When he turned to look, he saw a pair of glowing blue eyes watching him from between the bushes.
“Aah!” he cried. “What is it?”
Suddenly, the pair of eyes jumped out of the bushes and pounced on him. It was a she wolf pup!
“Don’t eat me!” Zuma begged, with his eyes closed.
The wolf pup laughed.
“And why should I eat you?” she asked. “Wolves and dogs are closely related, so that would be kind of wrong.”
“Oh! You’re a wolf pup!” Zuma said, getting up after the wolf pup got off him.
“Well, obviously!”
“Sorry, I use to forget that wolves are our friends. What’s your name?”
“My name’s Luuuuuuua!” she said with a howl. What’s yours?”
“I’m Zuma.”
“Okay, Zuma. Where do you come from? Are you here to visit our new reserve?”
“Yes!” Zuma said. “I’m from the PAW Patrol. I was fixing a beaver dam when I slipped and I was swept away by the river. And I’m trying to find my way back to them.”
“Oh… maybe can help you!” Lua said.
“Really? Thank you, Lua!”
“Follow me! I know the way to the reserve’s entrance.”
Lua guided Zuma through the forest. Along the way, they had a friendly talk.
“Humans are so kind, creating a new home for us wolves. So what’s the point of attacking them?” Lua said.
“You’re right! You know what, Lua? You’re the kindest wolf I’ve ever met! I’m sure when my friends hear how you helped me, they won’t be so afraid of wolves, especially Rocky.
“Who’s Rocky?”
“Oh, he’s a friend of mine. He’s not very fond of wolves… and water.”
Lua giggled.
After a while, when they were close to the reserve’s entrance, Lua said:
“We’re almost there, Zuma!”
Suddenly, Skye appeared flying above them in her helicopter!
“Ryder, Chase, I found Zuma!”
Chase arrived on his police car.
“Ryder, Zuma’s being followed by a wolf pup! Who is she?”
“Chase, Skye, this is Lua.” Zuma said. “Lua, these are my friends, Chase and Skye.”
“Nice to meet you!” Lua said. “You’re PAW Patrol, right?”
“She helped me get here!” Zuma said.
“Really?” Chase asked.
“Yes.” Zuma said. “She’s such a good friend!”
“Ryder, we’re heading back to the reserve’s entrance.” Skye said. “It seems like Zuma has made a new friend!”
“Got it, Skye.” Ryder spoke through his pup pad.
Thus, Chase, Skye, Zuma and Lua returned to the entrance, where Ryder, Rubble, Marshall, Rocky and Mayor Goodway were waiting.
“Thank goodness Zuma is alright!” Mayor Goodway said.
“Yes!” Zuma said. “It was cool, dude!”
Then, turning to Lua, he said.
“Well, I think this is goodbye.”
“You know what they say.” Lua said. “It’s never goodbye. Just see you later!”
“You’re right. See you next time, Lua.”
“Bye, Zuma!”
Ryder and the other pups waved goodbye at Lua. She then headed off into the woods.
“What a lovely wolf pup.” Mayor Goodway said. “Well, PAW Patrol, did you like Adventure Bay’s Wolf Reserve?”
“We sure did!” Marshall said.
“It was awoooooo-some!” Chase said.
“Fantastic!” Rubble said.
“I loved it!” Skye said.
“It seems like wolves are nice creatures, indeed!” Rocky said.
“Okay, pups. Time to go.” Ryder said.
Ryder and the pups boarded the PAW Patroller and prepared to leave the reserve. Ryder asked Zuma:
“Zuma, how did you feel when you got lost at the forest?”
“We were worried about you!” Chase said
“Were you scared?” Rocky asked.
“Yes. I was pretty scared.” Zuma said. “It was totally not a cool experience. The river swept me away really fast, and I was rolling and tumbling underwater!”
“Oh, no!” Skye said.
“Then, I stopped at the riverside. When I regained consciousness, I went to find you. On my way, I met Lua. She was really friendly to me and helped me get back to the reserve’s entrance.”
“Zuma, where is your pup tag?” Rubble asked.
Zuma looked at his neck.
“Oh, no! I think I lost it at the river!”
Suddenly, Ryder received a call through his pup pad. It was Lua!
“Hi, PAW Patrol.” she said.
“Lua!” the pups said.
“How are you able to communicate with us?” Zuma said.
“I think you lost something.”
Lua showed them Zuma’s pup tag.
“My pup tag!”
“I was going to return it to you, but I got so entertained chatting with you on the way to the entrance that I forgot.”
“What’s your emergency, Lua?”
“I fell on a hunter’s trap!”
The pups noticed that Lua’s paw was caught by a wolf trap! They gasped.
“But… how could that happen?” Marshall asked.
“Poachers!” Chase growled. “Someone must do something about it…”
“Don’t worry, Lua!” Ryder said. “We’re on our way! Pups, I think it’s time for a… Wolf Rescue!”
Ryder pushed a button, revealing new vehicles and suits for the pups.
“Wow! New vehicles!” Chase said.
“And new suits!” Skye said.
“Yes! Now, go and try them!” Ryder said.
The pups put on their Wolf Rescue suits and boarded their new vehicles. Ryder joined them in his ATV. When they headed to rescue Lua, the pups found out their vehicles’ special feature: they could transform into robotic wolves! Finally, they arrived to where Lua was.
“Lua, we’re here!” Zuma said.
“Thank God you’re here, PAW Patrol!” Lua said.
“Okay, Lua. We’ll set you free.” Ryder said. “Rocky, disarm the trap.”
Rocky used his tools to disarm the wolf trap.
“P-Please don’t bite me…” Rocky said.
“Why would I?” Lua said, giggling.
Once Rocky disarmed the trap, Lua was free! However, she had an injured paw.
“Marshall, use your first aid kit!” Ryder said.
“Ready for a ruff-ruff rescue!” Marshall said.
Marshall used his first aid kit to treat Lua’s injury.
“Thank you, PAW Patrol! You’re so kind!” Lua said.
“You’re welcome, Lua!” Ryder said. “Whenever you’re in trouble, just howl for help!”
“Will surely doooooooo!” Lua replied, with a howl.
Ryder and the pups laughed.
“Ryder, our first Wolf Rescue was awesome!” Zuma said.
“Wolf Rescue?” Lua asked.
“From now on, whenever we visit Adventure Bay’s Wolf Reserve, we’ll help any wolf who finds itself in trouble. And you could be of great help for this.”
“You mean…?”
“That’s right, Lua! For helping Zuma return to us, we now declare you the first wolf member of PAW Patrol! You’ll get your own suit and Wolf Rescue vehicle!”
“Welcome to PAW Patrol, Lua!” Skye said.
“It’s great to have you in our team.” Rubble said.
“We hope you enjoy being one of us.” Chase said.
“That’s awooooooo-some!” Lua said. “Thank you, guys! You’re my favorite pups!”
All pups played and had fun at Adventure Bay’s Wolf Reserve, and everyone lived happily ever after.
THE END.
