Hello everyone these pages are meant to help you guys understand the world and lore of the Crossfield universe it is the finalized name that we had all chosen for our story and the upcoming tabletop RPG game that we are creating
Holocaster
you're probably wondering how do they communicate with each other if they're on different planet or in another system. Well that's thanks to the groundbreaking technology known as the Holocaster. This Universal communication device was created by Thunder communication the creators of the Extranet.
These communication devices allow individuals to contact others browse the Extranet and do all manner of things. Most standard initial Castors are Factory made these are known as Mark 1. They are comprised of Dermoplastic which is used to help prevent fall damage. They use a double screen touch function. The secondary screen actually is embedded inside of the Caster in deploys outward from the top whenever is needed. But like most customizations the dual screen can be removed and a storage device can be added mostly used to carry very personal items. The physical dimensions is quite similar to a standard 21st century Earth smartphone. But one of the major key differences that 21st century smartphone is that each Castor is biometrically locked to prevent theft and tracking.
now the mark2. variation it's a lot more than its standard counterpart. Some of the biggest key differences is that it is a wrist watch design the second major difference it has an extra feature a virtual intelligence assistant. This VI is embedded inside of the watch which can be physically seen via hologram when the screens are deployed outward. As such the Mark 2. variation is much more expensive than the standard caster.
