might add more sounds if given and told where to put them (I know how to code it I just am not much of a sound person) edit: added a few sound but some are placed randomly

OK, sorry for the comment spam, but I checked the Melty Blood PS2 page. That one DOES have sprites. It's in the Effects folder and it's nek_100-132. Not the newer Melty Blood, but probably the best we'll get. https://www.spriters-resource.com/p.....a/sheet/28104/

if you click sitdown she will flail about...if it's not crazy enough just go into the action.xml file in the conf folder and just rearrange some frames under the flail animation!

OK, so, couldn't find any effects sprites on the Sprite Resource. Looking at screenshots though, effects like fire and lasers look more high-res than the character sprites, so I think those are done differently from the characters. If you do decide to make the rocket animation, I guess just try to find a generic/stock fire effect? I think there's a fire effect in one of the Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis games that could work.

Also I'm not sure what sprites I will use or not until I look up all his attacks and see if I'm animating everything correctly.

I just opened the conf folder files in notepad and just tried to figure out what each animation was.

I know learning to code shimejis is useful for personal use and can lead to some amazing shimejis, but I mainly will code stuff for you because there is a lot to explain.
I'll give you a very basic summary for now (basic...fucking hell this is probably still going to frighten you)
the action.xml file is how you arrange the animation to tell the images what to do.
you can name the image files however you want but I still say you should keep them all roughly the same or name them very specifically. (just don't repeat images for different animations, it will break the movements)
there are a few Type= animations, you mainly only need to learn these 3:
Move-usually for walls or in air
Animate-every image listed under it will play and it will stop once it completes it (can still move btw)
Stay-not really made for movement but can play an animation for however how long you make the duration
there are others but they can get very difficult so I'll save that for another time.
bordertype floor,ceiling,wall (I don't think I need to explain)
these are the pose image code summaries:
imageanchor is the position of the image.
velocity is movement.
duration is how long it does that frame.
the bottom of the actions.xml are the animation when they are being completed and need to be arranged.
make sure you name these differently or the program gets confused, the action reference is the stuff you made on top and the action name you will be putting in the behaviors. Example:
<Action Name="SitDown" Type="Sequence" Loop="false">
<ActionReference Name="Sit" Duration="${500+Math.random()*1000}" />
</Action>
also if you use type animate you can remove the Duration part.
the behaviors.xml is the menu for the right click basically.
you should avoid putting animations in the <!-- ALWAYS REQUIRED --> because the animations will go off everywhere and cause issues. (if I did this I was being lazy) only do this if it's a frequency 0 or a chase mouse!!!
oh and frequencies should be around 0-200 anything higher is mainly for test purposes.
Each area is labeled so I shouldn't have to explain too hard, but there is 1 thing you must note!
