This is a finished sample piece I'm going to use for a participation-demo at Bubonicon this year. We're going to do a small make-and-take project that utilizes the techniques I enjoy, and variations on those. The items I'll provide for participants will have the watercolor stage already done so we don't have to worry about drying time (or transporting wet media...) and can go straight to the good bits - colored pencils/crayons, gel pens, and shiny bits!

I used Prismacolor scholar pencils over watercolor, plus gel pens. There are some shiny bits, and the dragon holds a color-treated chalcedony stone.
